ABOUT US

The Speakeasy Steak & Ale House is a labor of love.  When multiple individuals happen to land in the same place with the same dreams and ideas, there has to be something special in the works.

It all started when a customer at Celina's Friendly Markets overheard Nathan Giesige talking about his desire to start-up his own steakhouse. Turns out, local bar owner, and businessman, Ben Amstutz had a similar dream and was owner of prime real-estate on Main Street in Downtown Celina.

A few conversations and details later, Nathan and Ben agreed to join forces and make their dreams a reality. Both felt a quality steakhouse was needed in Celina, and this was their opportunity.

BENJAMIN AMSTUTZ

Ben and his family are fourth and fifth generation Celina natives; his family first purchased the site of 211 S. Main Street over 20 years ago.  A long time investor in the business of Celina, Ben is both a trustee and past president of the Celina/Mercer Co. Chamber of Commerce.

For more than 12 years Ben has been co-owner and manager of the various bars and eateries at 209, 211 and 213. As co-creator, Ben is excited to host the Speakeasy Steak & Ale House and its partner, Sidecar Martinis on Main, to the Celina area!

NATHAN GIESIGE

Celina native, Nathan Giesige, made his start as a bartender for Longhorn Steakhouse. Eventually trained on cook and grill prep; Nathan worked his way up to manager, where he spent 11 years as one of the top ranked service managers for Longhorn Steakhouse.  Nathan's wife Corinna, was also manager for both Longhorn and Texas Roadhouse.

In 2015 when Nathan returned to the Celina area to become store manager for the family owned Celina's Friendly Markets, little did he know his dream to run and manage his own steakhouse was about to become a reality.  Nathan soon became co-owner and manager of the Speakeasy Steak & Ale House.
